Building Bridges Again
from a journal
I named it something vague, a decimal point in the dark, a number that could mean anything, a half-formed spark. I keep my distance better when there's wire in between, technology's my language, it's the safest way I've seen. Building bridges, testing load, hoping this time won't explode. Building bridges, pixel by pixel, tracing the same pattern, but different. I swear it's different this time. They call it creation when you're running from the sting, when you're solving for connection but you're terrified to sing. I know the problem's me, not the tools I use to reach— but I keep building anyway, out of what I teach myself.
